Ham Blog Week 4
Hello world in this week’s blog I would like to address the situation about the pressure of less studying which occurs to cheating on test. Cheating on test is sometimes intended for the fact that students don’t do enough studying or just for the fact that students are lazy or want the for sure way to pass. This week I read an article about several students that stole the answers to the SAT; these college students were punished severely for their actions with prison time. Cheating is not always the way out of a situation, it may get you the grade but you will never have that full satisfaction of giving your best effort. If putting in the required works that it takes to pass the test is your main priority, then cheating would never be a resort to get by. Now for those that did cheat on midterms take the time out and think about the grade that someone has earned you and realize that you would never want anyone to take your credit.

Ham Blog week 3
This week is going by pretty smooth with except there is a little added pressure with midterm week already here before I knew it. I know there are a lot people who just break out in hives just thinking about having to take a test, and the things they consist of. Will I remember this question? Can I pull off a high enough grade to pass? It can be very stressful. Most students that take the time out and study at least 30min a day can be very successful rather than the students who wants to study at the very last minute. Well I’m one of the students that can study for test at the last minute and it would come to seem as if my brain starts to function more fluidly then it would if I was to study 3 days before. Even though I can get the concept of test studying down pretty well no matter how long it takes me to do it, I always at least try to remember a few important points for the test. Here is a check list of things you could do to prepare for your next test to release some of that test anxiety http://tinyurl.com/3qj9xf7

Ham Blog Week 2
This week went pretty well, I had a very important project that which led me into more information about a new school program called High Scope. This program is somewhat similar to a school program you may already know like Head Start for instance, High Scope does a few things similar to this program. It really is based on hands on activities where students can interact with others in the classroom. High Scope's curriculum is also handled in a different way by teachers, which do a Child Observation Record (COR) on their students. This COR is done in intervals of class while students are doing everyday activities; teachers observe and take notes on how the student is progressing over time in different areas. They record their notes on printed forms or in computer files, and then classify and rate them according to the COR categories, items, and levels. Check out this chart of success for the students that did go to High Scope and how the stats are lower for others that did not.

Ham Blog 1 wk6
Welcome readers this is blog number 1 and I'm addressing many things in this first week of my blog concerning my major (education)and other things concerning one of my courses. I'm now taking an online course this semester which is very different for me considering i have never taken one, but this class has opened up my mind to new ideas. For example this blog, Ive never started or thought about starting my own blog site because i never knew how to get it done or what it consisted of. Now this course is showing me many things about blogging, new innovative ways to use twitter, and preparing me for my future as an educator in the near future. My professor introduced my class to "podcast" which was a method of teaching us straight from the Internet. Learning that these podcast can be very effective, it is clear to see that i know i will be using this method if possible with my very own students if the chance is ever at my advantage. Here is an example of a podcast that my professor gave us http://tinyurl.com/3mufws5 , go ahead and check it out, any can listen once they are posted. This course I'm taking is actually pretty fun, i have homework due on twitter every week which is pretty simple and keeps my interest as well. Hopefully i have sparked some ideas that you will use yourself, no matter what your major is podcast are cool and easy to catch on to. This is whats going on for now until next time have a good one and enjoy my blog please.
